A DEEPER WAY OF KNOWING YOURSELF.
A More Integrated Way of Living.
SELF-DISCOVERY RETREATS, COMMUNITY, & SELF-GUIDED TOOLS FOR WOMEN
Windows to Wisdom is a relational practice of self-discovery for women who want to understand the patterns shaping their lives, know themselves more deeply, and create meaningful change from the inside out.
Created by Jamie Cromer Grue, a board-certified psychoanalyst, teacher, writer, and retreat leader, this work brings together psychoanalytic depth, neuroscience, mindfulness, creativity, spirituality, and mind-body wisdom.
This is where your inner work continues.

You may be moving through a transition, questioning an old identity, repeating a familiar relationship pattern, grieving what has been lost, or sensing that another part of you is ready to emerge.
You may already have done a great deal of thinking, learning, caring, or healing and still feel that what you understand has not fully translated into the way you live.
You may not need another answer from outside yourself. You may need a different way of listening.
Windows to Wisdom offers a place to look more deeply, listen differently, and bring the many parts of your experience into greater relationship with one another.

PERHAPS YOU'RE HERE BECAUSE SOMETHING IS CHANGING.

UNDERSTANDING OURSELVES IS ONLY THE BEGINNING. THE REAL WORK IS LEARNING HOW TO LIVE WHAT WE KNOW.
We are shaped by more than conscious thought. Our earliest relationships, unconscious patterns, protective strategies, emotions, bodies, dreams, longings, values, and lived experiences all influence how we understand ourselves and move through the world.
The journey begins with awareness. As we reflect, practice, and gently experiment with new ways of being, understanding gradually becomes a way of living.
This is how insight becomes integrated: not in a single moment, but through returning to ourselves again and again.
Healing is rarely perfectly linear, but it is often developmental. We revisit familiar themes throughout life, discovering something new with each return. Growth is not about abandoning who we are or always striving toward a future self. It is the ongoing journey of being present to who we are while remaining open to who we are becoming.

Hello, Dear Friend.
I’m Jamie, a board-certified psychoanalyst, licensed clinical social worker, teacher, writer, retreat leader, and founder of Windows to Wisdom.
For more than three decades, I have studied how people change: how our earliest relationships shape us, how unconscious patterns protect and limit us, how insight develops, and why understanding something intellectually does not always allow us to live differently.
I believe psychoanalytic thinking should not remain only inside the consulting room. Through Windows to Wisdom, I have created accessible ways to bring its curiosity and depth into everyday life. By integrating insight with relationship, creativity, wellness, and embodied practice the awareness we find by opening a window to our unconscious mind becomes something we live, not simply something we understand.
My work is grounded in psychoanalytic training and informed by neuroscience, mindfulness, Ayurveda, creativity, spirituality, mind-body practices, and the wisdom that emerges through lived experience and relationship.
Windows to Wisdom grew from the belief that meaningful change requires both art and science, depth and practicality, solitude and relationship, understanding and lived experience.
